OUR PROCESS
Our production process is efficient and streamlined, ensuring that you're on board
with every decision made at every stage of the production process, from the initial planning stages of preproduction to the final delivery of the video assets.
The vision
The very first stage is to initiate contact and have an in-person meeting or virtual depending on your preference. Within this meeting we listen to the concept that you have envisioned for the video. Once we've taken all the notes, we then think about various ways we could improve on this, making suggestions in concept and scope.
Pre-production
Once we have agreed on what best way to communicate the video's story, we then start bringing together visual aids and logistical blueprints in order to streamline the entire process. This saves precious resources that could be spent elsewhere. These documents and processes usually come in then form of mood boards, story boards, shot lists, lighting plans, scripts, casting processes, location scouting, budgeting and scheduling. Resources are allocated and a timeline is set for the production.
Production
Principal photography or the filming process commences. A director leads the teams under the camera, lighting and sound department. It is this stage where all the magic happens and all the elements planned in the preproduction process come together and are recorded. The cinematographer, usually behind the camera incorporates lighting, framing and camera movement to best tell the visual story.
Post-production
Post production is the stage after all the material has been recorded. After carefully backing up the footage, it is then brought into an editing software, where all of the various video and sound clips are arranged. The best takes are used and arranged into a story with a clear beginning, middle and end. Audio elements are balanced and enhanced, such as any dialogue and sound effects that have been recorded. We then add visual effects, music, titles or on screen graphics. The footage is colour graded to enhance colour or achieve a particular look.
Delivery
Finally, once the latest version has been approved, it is exported or rendered out into a video file of your choice with options to cut into assets of different durations and specifications.
